satellites have been orbiting the earth since 1957 when the russians launched its first artificial satellite into earth's orbit "Sputnik".
Since then SSN () was formed by USA which tracks each and every space objects orbiting the earth, satellites as well as natural and even debris from the asteroids or destroyed satellites.
There are about 3000 space objects orbiting the earth out of 8000 man made objects according to NASA.
